General Discussion / Swingarm Bearings

Summer 2016 has finally conceded defeat & Ol Man Winter is taking over.
It's time to swap out the tires for winter studs.
My 2014 SEF300R has 125 hours so I'm going to change wheel bearings & swingarm bearings while I'm at it.
I've never had the swingarm out of this bike, is there any tutorial or helpful hints?

with just over 100 hours on it, the Akrapovic exhaust on my SEF300 Factory seems to be getting pretty loud.
Is it repackable?

quite an extreme ride on Friday & bent the shifter.
Anyone know if one of the Hammerheads fits? 2014 SEF300 Factory

Sherco Tech / Trials bike needs a tail light

in Alberta a m/c needs a headlight and a tail light to be trail legal.
I'm looking at a Sherco 300 trials bike but it doesn't have a tail light.
It *looks* like they might have one in other markets.
Can I buy a kit or parts from Sherco?

General Discussion / Front wheel bearings / axle

noticed a bit of slop in the front wheel on the weekend.
Just pulled it off & the axle is marred under the bearing on the brake side.
That bearing will turn but not easily.
I have the bearings, do you think I need to replace the axle?

will be a Sherco 300 4T.

Me: 40 years of riding, mostly street-bikes.
I've been riding casual off-road oriented dual-sport (sometimes not so casual) for a dozen years.
Started with a XR250R, a CRF250X, then a DRZ400 which had way too much money dumped into it. All the goodies.
Next up was the best combination of power & handling I've had to date; a 2011 Husky TE-310. Fantastic.
Unfortunately, could not keep it running.  Fuel pump or FI, dunno, would just randomly quit.
Traded it for a 2012 TE-511 which has been a good solid off-road bike.
I like the 511 now with the latest ECU updates but still miss the handling of the smaller bike.

Today I made a deal to trade the TE for a 2014 Sherco SEF 300 IR Factory.
Dunno quite what I'm in for.
Hope it will be better and more reliable than the TE-310.
Can't find any info on a 300 Factory...  just photos of a 250.
Supposed to have a clear tank that *might* be bigger than the 8.5 liters of the IR.
Akrapovic exhaust.
Curious as to how much oil it holds, can't find it.
What else?
Mid-June til it arrives so mid-July til I get to ride it (work, eh?)
