I am thinking of buying a used 18 125 ser . Looking for a lightweight toy . I am a 3oo rider because of my 270lbs . But I miss small bore light bikes . My buddy just bought a husq 150 and I want one . I know I'm gonna need springs but other than that , will it haul my fat ass around singletrack decently? I am no longer riding where there are long and steep hills (where the 300  is necessary for me) Just wondering anyones opinion / insight

I see a listing for 18-19 250 2t  nothing for the 300 or earlier years . Is there an actual reason for this or is it just misinformation? I would assume this would fit my 17 300??? Anybody know?

Sherco Tech / Breaking trail and getting hot

Okay a friend of mine is touching 50+ acres that's somewhat renewed virgin .... You can see some old trails here and there but its gonna need a lot of bushwackin. His OB 4t was steamin and mine 300 2t seemed hot but no boilover. I was also running real rich which might of helped keep cooler, and it was later in the day . I see that an accessory fan is offered . How are these generally for running hot ? My GG was damn near impossible to boil, many hours bushwackin and nary a drop . Is this a concern? should I run a fan ? Any tips or advice welcomed I don't wanna hurt my new girl by ridin her too hard....

Sherco Tech / spark plug

Hi all
Did a search and cant find the info.? what spark plug are you 2 stroke guys running? I've always run ngk
but my bike has some other brand in it and its black as tar. I have a br8es in my pack that I figure I can run in emergency. What is the recommended plug? Going out today and really want to have a new and spare plug. Thanks for any help
Also how do I link to owners manual I was able to find it last week can't find it now? Though I downloaded it but ......

Changed springs Stock ones available if anyone might be looking for stock spring rate  $50 frt. or rear
Renthal 999 bars in blue I needed taller bend  $75.
Modded carb don't know what was done but it has 2 built in dividers  must be similar to a RB carb mod more info in ringer901 enduro weapon thread
basically new hopped up carb  $350  I don't like jetting so bolting on my lectron.
shipping is whatever it is lower 48 only please.

Hi all
Instead of continuing my why Sherco thread , I figured to start a new one since I now own a Sherco. I bought one of the used  bikes Clay listed . Now to set things clear The bike is not stock Its got an S3 head (don't know what insert) a Modded carb and some port work . I put springs and some armor on her this week , 13 tooth front. still stock tires . Front does feel pretty good but its still wet here and the rear stays greasy when wet and overall doesn't seem to hook up or hold on well.
Engine has plenty of nut ,but does not feel as tractory as my gassers. But the engine has been breathed on so my baseline is off. Also I've kept in soft map .Question ? Does the map switch affect bottom end ( I mean real grunty power) ? I love the power on soft map lots of good usable snap but I can stay on the pipe because on the pipe it feels like my 200. I ride a lot of real tight single track and its hard to carry a lot of speed cause you are constantly turning or braking . 300 on the pipe is usually (to me ) a scary proposition in a lot of where I ride. This bike I could keep on the pipe.
Handled great suspension felt good . Dislike-  I feel like I'm over the front of the bike in attack position. I moved bars forward and put a tall bend on but still am feeling hunched forward . Now as a disclaimer I am out of shape and 40 lbs over and have a 10lb pack on. On the gasser you could put on pegs that set you back and lower at the same time . Any Suggestions ? I'm a hair under 6'2"
I'm sure being in better shape would help but I feel more balanced / relaxed on the gasser. 
Overall for first ride pretty good 2nd half of the ride I stayed glued to my buddies rear tire and passed him on some open stuff. The bike didn't make me work hard , felt light and predictable in the front , soaked up the rocks and roots well . Overall I like the bike and am looking forward to my next ride. Any suggestions, tips , comments (other than lose weight!)welcomed
Also I want to thank Clay for working with me getting the bike and helping me deal with Yankee bureaucracy. Very happy with bike Thanks Clay.

Hi all
Long time (appx 10 yrs) Gasgas rider looking at other options. I am now looking to buy my first new bike ever and was awaiting the new Gasser until they announced the $9300 price tag.I can swing it but it just seems like too much..  too much for a semi new bike that they are trying to launch. I've always been interested in the beta and sherco but never really in the market for a new bike til now. I am a 48 yr old 6'2"#240 ish c-slow b rider riding New England singletrack roots & rocks with occasional trips through the powerlines. may race Jday once a year. I ride a 300t  and am rarely on the pipe,like to keep a gear high and lug. Owned ktm kdx it cr xr etc. loved the gassers but am really liking the idea of less weight and of course NEW. So any one with similar experience want to chime in on whats great . good . bad about their sherco . The no kick and made in france are my main concerns.I like the looks / ground clearance  So any 300 or 250 2 smoke riders want to help sell me on sherco
