Classifieds / 2018 Sherco 300 SEF-R **SOLD**
« on: May 23, 2020, 06:30:12 PM »
Just testing the waters here. Bike has 36.54 hours. Trail rode, never raced. Not AA rider owned, the AA plates are from a spare plastic kit from another rider I purchased from on this forum. Has XPLOR forks with the K-Tech ORVS kit, works extremely well, a huge improvement over the stock system. The rear shock has also been revalved with the K Tech bladder kit. Great suspension, super adjustable from trail riding to race pace. Bolt- ons include:

Bulletproof rad guards, rear disc guard, and swing arm guard.
Polisport swingarm protectors and ignition/clutch covers.
Linkage guard added to stock skid plate (not mounted in pic)
EE handguards
Trail Tech Fan Kit
TM Designs Chain Guide
Guts Racing Tall Seat Kit (have stock setup)
High Pressure 2.0 radiator cap

Oil and filter changed per manual, air filter always kept fresh.

Can provide more pics. Would consider trade for low hour, similar year 2 stroke. 413-519-2431. Bike is located in Massachusetts.

Sherco Tech / New FMF systems for 300 4T - Anyone tried them?
« on: March 29, 2020, 12:19:57 PM »
Hey folks,

I see FMF has two new mufflers , the Powercore 4 Hex and Factory 4.1, as well as the megabomb header. I know the Q4 Hex wasn't very well received on this site, but FMF obviously has invested more into development of the Sherco line. Does anyone here have experience with these?

General Discussion / Idle on Sherco 300 SEF-R
« on: May 20, 2019, 06:36:36 AM »
Hey folks, still a Sherco noob and my '18 300 SEF-R is also my first fuel injected bike as well. I'm sure this has been addressed prior, but is there a way to adjust the idle on the Sherco FI system? Or does that have to be a mapping change? I don't see anything in the manual and can't seem to find any adjustment externally. It is a bit prone to stalling in really technical conditions, otherwise really digging the bike.

General Discussion / Setting Sag on New Shercos
« on: April 16, 2019, 09:41:23 AM »
Hey guys, purchased a '18 300 SEF-R Racing last fall, but just getting around to setting it up as the season is getting into gear here in New England. This is my first Sherco, so if this question has been belabored I apologize in advance.

Setting Sag - per the manual, and pure physics eye-check it calls to remove the shock. Is there a inside Sherco-rider cheat here I'm not seeing or a special spanner to help the cause?

Thank you

Sherco Tech / Radiator Guard fittment for 300 SEF
« on: December 10, 2018, 01:59:15 PM »
Hey guys, new to the forum and the brand, really excited about it. Got a killer deal on a 2018 300 SEF-R here in Massachusetts. I had previously raced two bikes with the Emperor Racing Radiator guards. They are really robust and never had a bend, crack, break etc and fit/lined up perfectly. So I looked to get a set for the Sherco, but the part number for the braces only went to 2016 for the SEF-R. However, it looks like other model of braces are the same from 2012-2016. Steve at Emperor gave me a great deal, but couldn't confirm fit, apparently all the Sherco shops in British Columbia left the area. I tried to put them on and the right side plate against the frame doesn't seem to sit cleanly and makes contact with the frame where it starts to split for the exhaust. I made sure it was the correct side and the aluminum spacers and rubber grommets were aligned correctly but it just looks like a miss. So my question to you Sherco pros is, had the frame changed at all in that area from 2016 to the 2017 model year? My only thought is that maybe the profile of the Emperor guards extend further than other guards so it wouldn't interfere? Just trying to figure out if I need to ship these back or am missing something painfully obvious.  Thanks in advance.
