General Discussion / Any sherco 125 owners out there?
« on: April 22, 2020, 05:44:31 PM »
I am thinking of buying a used 18 125 ser . Looking for a lightweight toy . I am a 3oo rider because of my 270lbs . But I miss small bore light bikes . My buddy just bought a husq 150 and I want one . I know I'm gonna need springs but other than that , will it haul my fat ass around singletrack decently? I am no longer riding where there are long and steep hills (where the 300  is necessary for me) Just wondering anyones opinion / insight
Thanks

Put a price on them

KTM Kool aid . Previous ktm owner got on a gasgas and never looked back . Tried a sherco and am a fan both bikes are great but different. My gassers took a beating and never skipped a beat watching ktms boilover on really hot or hard rides
Watching the older pds models bounce around the woods. Havent put a ton of time on my sherco but so far so good. Look at the hard enduro races 100s of ktms and a few shercos and the sherco is on the podium a lot. Google ktm problems and the list goes on and on. If you gave me a ktm I would sell it to buy a gasser or sherco
Don't drink the kool aid

I see a listing for 18-19 250 2t  nothing for the 300 or earlier years . Is there an actual reason for this or is it just misinformation? I would assume this would fit my 17 300??? Anybody know?
Thanks

I bent my rear brake lever so I am looking for alternative/ less expensive -possibly stronger option. I also like to keep spare shift lever for just in case.

Sherco Tech / Re: 250SE R Rad braces/guards
« on: April 30, 2018, 06:56:20 AM »
I cannot tell you if they are any good, but I'd try Emperor/ Scorpion guards . They are the balls on my gasser both rad and skid , nice stuff. I bought the axp ones for my sherco as at the time no scorpions were available.
1 small drop and they were already tweaked and tweaked the radiator they remind me of another set I had once that I put on a shelf in favor of scorpion. As I stated though I do not have experience with scorpion on a sherco, I just believe they were the best product I tried for the gasser.
Would be curious to hear from scorpion / sherco users
Anyway good luck

Sherco Tech / Breaking trail and getting hot
« on: August 24, 2017, 05:12:14 PM »
Okay a friend of mine is touching 50+ acres that's somewhat renewed virgin .... You can see some old trails here and there but its gonna need a lot of bushwackin. His OB 4t was steamin and mine 300 2t seemed hot but no boilover. I was also running real rich which might of helped keep cooler, and it was later in the day . I see that an accessory fan is offered . How are these generally for running hot ? My GG was damn near impossible to boil, many hours bushwackin and nary a drop . Is this a concern? should I run a fan ? Any tips or advice welcomed I don't wanna hurt my new girl by ridin her too hard....
Thanks
