Sherco Tech / Re: [2020] 300 se factory, cracks in frame

Totally agree, this could happen all brands. I really like the Sherco bikes (the few 5-6h) i have been riding :). I just hope this will be resolved in some way so I can ride my bike again. Just feel so unhappy regarding this, i sold my Husaberg 2t (Ktm) and bought i almost brand new bike because I have so limited time to do mechanical repairs etc. Usually i only ride ~20 hours a year.

I kittet up with some additional jettings, so will try your suggested jetting.
Honestly when looking back, I have not put much attention to the the jetting before buying this bike, but I have learned a lot about this when troubleshooting and searching for info. So thanks for all inputs.
Also I have a new coil now (not fitted yet), so hopefully this will not be a problem when everything is in place.

Former owner was riding for team Sherco Sweden, so it sounded like they had all history of this bike when I talked with the dealer. Of course you never know, but at least for me it's hard to believe that that (pre owner) would lie about the hours when they almost got new bikes (with very reduced price) from Sherco. I really hope that's not the case, team riders should in my opinion be ambassadors for this sport and don't do that kind of things.
But you have a good point, that is probably the next thing to check. In worst case I have to buy a new frame, and unfortunately that will end this season for me (i assume i will be at least 2000 euros).

Thanks for response, I bought it second hand. Former owner was a member of swedish Sherco team, so probably he would have run this bike way harder than me. But he only rode this bike like 20-30 hours before he moved on to an 2021, this bike then worked as a follower bike. I have been riding usual swedish Enduro and haven't done any big jumps or any big crashes etc, I have run it for approx 10 hours. So in total this bike is under 50 hours.

Worth mention is that I yesterday also found that the upper engine mount was cracked, the actual piece between head and frame. So there must have been a hard landing/hit on this bike.

Except for this frame problem, the bike is almost as new.

I'm having hard to think this was a known problem from their side when I bought it (but probably it was already there). So as you advised, Sherco might want to investigate this more in depth.

Tomorrow I will try to reach out to a local dealer that imports shercos and see if the can guide me who to contact at sherco.

I will keep this thread updated when I have new information...

Sherco Tech / [2020] 300 se factory, cracks in frame
« on: June 12, 2021, 02:45:37 AM »
Hello,
Just found some cracks in the frame of my 300 se factory 2020.
Anyone else who has experienced this or heard of it.

Is it possible to weld this or what do do?

Ok, thanks for input, I will try that, I was also thinking of that before but felt unsure because it runs ok on lower middle.

Sherco Tech / [2020] 300 se factory, no power/stuttering on high rpms
« on: June 10, 2021, 07:45:32 AM »
Hello,
Recently my 300 we factory started to loose top end power, it never revs out and instead starts stuttering. It will continue to run (not bogging dead) if I keep holding full throttle but never revs out/kicks. Low/middle works like a charm and no starting or idle issues.
I didn't have any problems before, but noticed last ride that it started to go a little unclean on higher rpms. But it revved after 2-3 seconds with full throttle. Now as meantioned, it cannot rev out at all.

Current jetting: main 172, pilot 40, n8re second clip, 1 1/2t,  running 40m above sea level.

I have checked following:
- Power valve is not stuck.
- No bad cables etc.
- Cleaned carb.
- Tried leaner jetting
- Checked reeds.
- No air leak

I haven't done any electrical measurements.

I start to suspect that the power valve servo is malfunctioned or it might be bad coiling... but maybe someone here have an idea what the problem could be?
