That's excellent news. sherco come back for the win, with a very well known enduro dg in canada (Guy Giroux), and an importer with a large implanted distribution network

Rumour has it that CMI is packing it in with Sherco and that a new Dist will be announced shortly.   My guess is that RYP is taking over North America.

Interesting news.

I'm not sure how committed CMI has been to the Sherco deal in the first place. Seems like more of a vanity project for Guy Giroux to have a nice truck and trailer to go racing. I mean Sherco Canada doesn't even have a proper website and relies on FB. Parts prices have doubled and way too much stuff is on back-order. I wonder how happy the dealers have been with the CMI operation?

Having said that I'm not sure RYP running Canada will be any better. I imagine we'll get American pricing but get to pay the 30% premium on the Great White Peso. Pretty sure that was the latest GG strategy for Canada and I'm not sure how successful that has been.

I'm curious what my dealer (sells Sherco, GG, Beta) thinks about the red Spanish KTMs coming in 2021.

Preach brother! I'm glad I'm not the only guy tired of watching Guy put more effort into his racing season than his business. I share all of your concerns.

Yeah.   Giroux is a fun guy and all but he basically turned his job as a Rep into one last chance to become a Factory Racer.   Taking weeks to return calls/emails to dealers, stocking no parts and basically doing nothing to promote the brand outside of Quebec has turned most Sherco fans off the brand.

CMI is officially out as CDN Sherco Dist.   New Dist being announced shortly.

Sounds like Guy Giroux and Josh Barrett are going to be running the CDN Operations moving forward.   These are the same guys that went bankrupt back in 2012 when BMG was the CDN Husqvarna Distributor and screwed over a ton of guys (including me for $30K).  My local dealer has already packed it in after finding out who the new Dist is going to be.

Well it's a joke and because of Guy and his lack of everything my next bike is a Beta 250, because there is tons of support. Still keep my Sef 300, but it might to start collecting dust now cause of parts issues.
