Anyone have the 19' 125 cross country? Some questions
« on: March 07, 2019, 01:53:08 PM »
Have some questions...
Need it to be able to chug at idle and have excellent stall resistance like my te125 im replacing does. Any options for the Sherco for flywheel weights?
Big bore kits?
Who's quick turn throttle system fits?
How much is it to get a headlight and tail light assembly working like whats on the 125 racing version? Needs wiring harness or those parts just fit right up?
Clutch lever weight?
Whats the real weight?
What minor and major issues or weaknesses need addressed on it for a skilled rider?
Anyone have some onboard vids of theirs?

I think the throttle cam is reversible.

I don't think there are many 125 racers on here?
I just got a 19 se-r doubt the sc engine wise is any different?
Here are my thoughts.
It has decent pull at just off idle. You have to be a clutz to stall it. Don't think I would want to add any flywheel weight.
No big bore kit at this time.
Think it comes with std and aggressive throttle cam, haven't had a desire to check.
I thought about getting the sc but need lights. Adding up the parts cost for lights seems a little pricy.
Clutch pull is nice.
This is just a guess on weight, I would say about 210 give or take.
You might want to tweak the jetting a little.
I'm happy with it so far, start racing next week. No issues so far.

Funny, I have been watching YouTube for two weeks searching for ANY and ALL Sherco 125 videos/reviews. Nothing really great out there so I end up just listening to the engine, wishing for a smell option. Lol
No Sherco for me yet but Iím ready for a new 125. Now how do you buy one, Dealer or Clayciphous? Iím trying some thing new, no more taking large sums of cash out of the bank for bikes. Itís too hard restocking it. Lol

There is one wiring harness needed to plug the lights in. About $60 if I remember correctly.
If you are on Instagram there are a lot of videos of Dan Mundell riding a 125.
209 pounds on my postal scales with coolant and oil in the engine.

Dan's legit. Didnt know much about him till Clay posted and watching his endurocross results. Fast and technical rider. BIG future.

Woohoo! My luck is turning around, only took 44 years...
Honestly the guy seems like a generally good hearted person and that appeals to me. He also seems pasionoate about motorcycling.

I get such a kick out of guys saying this bike looks like that bike. How is it possible not to resemble some other bike? Put jet engines in place of the wheels? There's only so much you can do with a motorcycle design and keep it a motorcycle.

So I have a cool little story. I commented on Danís Instagram and instead of tagging me and responding. He took the time to personally send me a message. Seems like a extremely nice young man. No wonder Sherco likes having him on the Team.
The brand seems to always exceed my expectations for what I expect a motorcycle company to be. More proof that companies can only be as good as the people they hire.
