Check the spark plug, spark and all connectors. Report back.

BFD changed the plug to an Iridium & it fired right up.
Next ride: 9km down the trail in 6th gear doing about 90kph (55 mph), it just died - as if out of gas or had hit the kill switch. 
Coast to a stop, re-started it & it ran perfectly all day & all the next day.
Weird.

Check the main power switch. Mine went bad. They make intermittent contact and shutbthe bike down. ....

You mean the on/off switch on the handlebars?

Chance Baker had problems with a bad kill switch doing some things like this.

chain guide looking a little ratty.
then discovered it's broken


BlackfootDirect had a replacement in stock; the brand is "NEXT" but it's made by TMD.

Same thing happen with mine except didn't crack. Popped the chain off
