« on: May 28, 2020, 06:13:40 PM »
Any setup tips for my 17 300 ser for riding up in the clouds? Recommended jetting? Tires? I dropped one tooth on the front, and i'll be running an FMF Q spark arrestor

I lived there 23yrs ago and recently went back last summer in July.  I was on a mtbike trip of CO.  Can only help you with tires.  In Aug it will be pretty hardpack and blown out dust on top.  Dry air but high elevation and will have to jet accordingly.  I rode a lot of dual use trails there.   Just make sure you close the cow gates after going through as a lot of trails cross private ranches so you gotta respect that.  Oh, pack a jacket/rain coat as those mt. thunderstorms are brutal and a 35 degree drop in temp can have you freezing to death. Have fun up there!

Thanks for the tips. I hope we don't hit any freezing rain, but i'll pack the rain shell!
