Rebuild/ rebore a Sherco ser 300

Hi all

I have over 140 hours in my 2016 Sherco ser 300
It lost its power band and started to notice a big of lag In my throttle response

So pulled the top end of and noticed my cylinder has the coating coming of on the side
Pic bellow👇🏻🤞

Has anyone ever got theirs recoated or is it a new part thing
I live in tasmania and apparently no one does recoating bore here

search for nikasil cylinder recoating. For example

Give TSP (Two Stroke Performance) in Melbourne a bell and have a chat. I haven't used them yet but a couple of people I know have had bores weld repaired and recoated and been happy with the results. It isn't cheap, but neither is sending a barrel to the other side of the world and back...
