Suspension 300 SEF/R -16
« on: July 05, 2020, 06:48:03 AM »
Just bougt my first Sherco. A 300 SEF/R -16. Im doing the basic suspensionsettings before i try it in the endoro track. Cant wait! I have a problem with the WP shock rebound adjuster.
Standard is 13 clicks but i only have 3 clicks... Seems like it is siezed. Any way to fix this? How do i adjust the WP fork spring preload? Manual says turn the nut on top of the fork with a 24mm key. I have no nut on the top...  Do i need a special tool for this?

The nut Is plastic you will have to loosen the hex locking bolt first.
Not sure  about the clicker sorry. An o ring has probably failed and let some dirt in.
Might be a pull apart to investigate situation.  I think this is the right manual for your forks ( these maybe the Factory fork only though)

I know what your saying about the shock rebound screw, after about 4 rides i had my suspension guru revalve the forks & shock, i thought i'd adjust the rebound but i could only get it to move about 3 turns.  I rang my suspension guru & he said they tend to get dirt etc in them, he said give it a good spray of WD40 & go gently with the screw, go 1 way then the other, it worked for me ;)
I've made a little boot / cover, to cover the bottom part of the shock out of wetsuit material, every now & then i pull it down & spray the adjustment with a bit of WD40. I have noticed, that i don't have this problem on my KTM, maybe it's a linkage style suspension problem ?
