When I first discovered that the front sprocket nut size was so wacky I asked Clay to send the bike back to France and have them warranty repair the front sprocket nut size.   He said, "No"; so you are probably stuck with it.

Don't you have an 1 1/8 socket?  Only .023 bigger than 28 mm.

Wait till you try to undo it, i tried freezing, heating & soaking with WD40 no luck :( Took it to my local & they put the ratchet gun on it, they were about to give up & it finally let go, they said too me, NEVER tighten it up that much again, i said this is the first time it been touched ;)

that's what I'm afraid if as I have seen strange torque number in manual, as 100Nm or so,
while I remember on KTM there is only 60 Nm for CS nut  and that value I will use.
Planning to use impact gun.

so this is not cover under warranty? LOL
French type of joke obviously but this is really stupid,
I could finish job yesterday but now I have to order 28mm socket and
ride to pick it up next day....

You think thats wacky? I just pulled the bar risers off a Beta and it used a 7mm allen head. I was surprised to find I had one, which means I probably haven't used it in the last 25 years.

28mm fits a few things at least.
