Factory computer settings

I bought a used 300SEF. The odometer and speedometer are only showing a fraction of what they should read.

I thought maybe the wire from the wheel sensor to the computer has a break in it and was only reading some of the time. I had a wire from a Trail Tech voyager, that fit the caliper hole and plugged into the Sherco computer and it reads about the same as the other one does.

can someone please tell me what your computer reads for "LIFE', which I believe to be wheel size.
and what does it show for "PPr", Pulse per revolution.

The owners manual just says not to adjust these parameters, but I see that they can be adjusted and I'm wondering if the previous owner changed one of these.

That is great news!
It supports my guesstimation. With 1 magnet in the wheel, there should only be 1 Pulse per revolution.
This one is currently set at 11PPr.
which means when my average speed is showing 1mph
and max speed is 3mph
changing the PPr from 11 down to 1, everything will show about 10 times more/faster.

I picked up a new 250 se factory Friday. The odo was reading all over the place, either saying zero, actual speed or 10x actual speed. Will have to do some investigating tonight. It said I went 20 miles when I went about 5.

When I got my 19 300 SEF the odo did not read wheel pulses.  Sherco sent me a replacement but did not want the old one back so I removed the back of the unit and cleaned the ribbon cable and got it to work.  Now I have a spare.  They are the cheap Trail Tech units.

changing my PPR value back down to "1" cured my issue.
