2014 ser300 jetting in uk
« on: November 02, 2021, 02:36:03 AM »
Hi there have got a 2014 ser300 and just looking to see what other people are running jet settings in uk around sea level am currently running
N8rh needle (top clip)
165 main
35 pj
1 turn out on a/s
The bike feels fine mid to top end but feels a bit flat on bittom end. Would going up on pilot jet help this out. Dont want to raise needle as then runs to rich at mid to top.

Cheers all

In the US, but that seems super lean imo. I ran 40 pilot, NECW 3rd pos, and a 170/172 for sea level to 3000'.

40, 2nd pos and a 162 for 5500-9000'

40, 1 pos, and a 155 for 9500'+

yes

lean to rich
NECJ > NEDJ > NECW

N8R_ series needles are significantly thicker at the tips (the opposit side of the clip). As JLow pointed out, your configuration, comparatively is lean (especially at 3/4 to WOT your running, and pilot jet).  Hope this makes sense.

just out of curousity, how did you adjust the Air Skrew? did you use an RMP meter/gauge?
Cheers

Just do it by warming bike up and then adjust air screw till get the highest tickover possible and then readjust tick iver screw after that. Plug colour is nice biscuit brown and very little spooge out of exhaust. Going to go up to 38 pilot see how that goes. Mainly do lot of trail riding so all low to mid throttle i would say.

Specific difference between the NECJ and NEDJ is a half clip difference, overall. The J/W prefix only applies to the straight section of the needle(1/8-1/4 throttle).  W is used in place of the letter I.     H, W, J, K.....
